About Me

My name is Amy, and I’m a happy-go-lucky ball of energy. I’m in love with life, and I try my best to make the most of what I have while I’m here. I have a wonderful husband (David) with whom I dance through life, and we have two very beautiful daughters – Norah (Duck) and Lucy (Goose) & a wonderful little son – Harrison (Gander).

As you can see, Feathered Friendsy is a perfect name for this blog – we’re all about our feathered friends here, and we’re always in a frenzy

I’m feisty. I’m persistent. I’m a nervous nail-biter. Life is way too short to live it half-heartedly, and so I refuse to do that. I love deeply, dance poorly, and learn constantly. I believe that there is good in everyone, even if you have to dig really deep to find it.

I came to the blogging world in 2001, via livejournal, to rant and rave about every day life through the eyes of a then-fifteen-year-old. Over 10 years later, here I am!

I started this blog as an “everything” blog – where I share my life, opinions, parenting experiences, and recipes…and after trying to change it to be a niche blog, I realized that an “everything” blog is just what I’m meant to write.
